Sporting
injuries
Mrs
Smart was taking part in a Step Aerobics session when she
sustained her sports injury. She sprained her knee during
a particularly crowded session at the local sports centre.
The council, which owns the centre, had failed to control
the number of people participating in the aerobics session.
Case Direct won £3500 compensation for Mrs Smart’s sports
injury without having to go to court.
Mrs
Fenwick injured her knee when she slipped on the dance floor
at her local bowling club. There had been oil left on the
dance floor after an entertainment show had finished performing
earlier that evening. Case Direct were successful in winning
compensation of £3500 for Mrs Fenwick because the club had
failed to ensure that the dance floor was safe.
Mr Parsons
sustained his sports injury when he attended a team building
weekend with his work colleagues. He strained his neck whilst
trying to complete an army assault course. Case Direct sued
his employers for forcing Mr Parsons to attend the weekend
and we achieved a compensation award of £5,000 for his sports
injury, without having to go to court.
Mr Campbell
had a sports injury on a “flume” water slide at a swimming
pool near where he lives. He broke his foot when the attendants
drained the pool at the bottom of the shoot before closing
the slide. Case Direct took up Mr Cambell’s claim for compensation
and the local council paid him £10,000 for his sports injury.
