Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder
Mrs
Prentice was working as a cleaner in a hospital when she
pricked his finger on the needle from a hypodermic syringe.
The fear of possible HIV infection left her with post traumatic
stress disorder. It was 3 months before doctors were able
to give Mrs Prentice the all clear, as HIV infection is
not always apparent immediately in a blood test. Case Direct
took on Mrs Prentice’s claim for compensation and we won
£1000 for her post traumatic stress disorder.
Mrs
Collins was a passenger in a car when it was hit by another
vehicle from the rear. Her head was thrown forwards and
hit off the windscreen causing bruising and cuts. In addition
to her physical injuries, Mrs Collins was left with a mild
form of post traumatic stress disorder. Case Direct managed
to win her compensation of £4,000 without having to go to
court.
Keith
Harris was fifteen when he was hit by a car at a road junction
while riding his bike. The accident left him too terrified
to ride his bike. Case Direct took up his case and the driver’s
insurance company agreed to pay Keith £3500 compensation
for his post traumatic stress disorder.
